Onshore wind

Australia is one of the windiest countries on the planet and is already charging ahead with a renewables powered future.

Australians are experts at harnessing the wind, from the Hills Hoist to the America's Cup, and those working in the wind industry today are no different from the champions of the past.

Building long-term relationships and trust with communities, is key to the sector’s growth and development in Australia.

We provide (and update as required) guidelines for industry and communities on best practice community engagement and benefit sharing.

We also convene a Community Engagement and Social Licence Working Group where industry professionals can stay on top of emerging issues and upskill each other; Clean Energy Council members can log in to get involved in this group.
